They’ve been described as judgmental, hypocritical, old-fashioned, too political, boring, and insensitive. They might be described as hypocritical or judgmental when portrayed in ways that go against Christianity’s central tenet of love.

There is no such thing as the liberal news media. In reality, there is a corporate news media that polices the limits of approved public discourse and privileges the voices and agenda of the powerful over those of everyday Americans.

In a time of ascendant neofascism and other great crises this is a great betrayal of the American people and the sacred responsibility that the Fourth Estate has in a democracy.

A U.S. judge on Wednesday questioned lawyers for President Joe Biden’s administration on whether the federal regulatory approval given to the abortion pill mifepristone 22 years ago was proper as he considered a request by anti-abortion groups to ban sales of the drug nationwide.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk during a hearing in Amarillo also pressed the groups, led by the Texas-based Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, to explain how he could reverse approval of a long-established drug.
