John McCain and Healthcare…and Trump Swamp Creatures…

When I first heard that John McCain had a brain tumor, my first thought was “Ain’t it nice to have great healthcare…”  Brain surgery, radiation treatment and other treatments ain’t cheap… this kind of treatment can send many average Americans to the poor house, if they don’t have some kind of support with the treatment.  I knew John McCain would vote to provide Americans with the OPPORTUNITY to have access to the best Healthcare that can be provided.  What is currently available NEEDS , NO! must have an intervention.  Elected leaders in the Senate and the House have to respond.  I think we can write off Donald Trump’s actions completely.  He is impotent and unqualified to respond and be involved in a positive way.   Donald Trump only thinks about Donald Trump.

I retired last year after 20 years with a small company of about a 1,000 employees.  I had insurance for the entire time I was employed.  The insurance had a cap of 5 million dollars and then I was on my own.  In the 20 years I was with the company, I didn’t use the insurance for anything but yearly visits with the doctor for blood work analysis and other doctor actions.

Now, I have medicare and supplemental insurance.  There were so many choices to make about healthcare during the first months leading up to and after my retirement, and after more than a year of retirement, I don’t know if I made the correct choice.  The one thing I do know is simply this:  I need a support mechanism in place if I have a major or even a minor health issue.  I simply couldn’t afford to pay out of pocket for the care than Senator John  McCain received.

I retire in April of 2016.  In August of 2016 my youngest dog Dingo is diagnosed with a brain tumor.  Dingo is 12 and I’m referred to the Knoxville UT School of Veterinary Science.

I make the trip from Chattanooga to Knoxville with Dingo.  The doctors check him out for half a day and in the afternoon we talk about the options.  The one common denominator is “it ain’t going to be cheap…”

After listening to the experts I chose to treat Dingo’s tumor.  Surgery and radiation treatment and other medication cost me $20,000.  I’m told the range of life expectancy with treatments is 6 to 15 months and with out treatment no more than a month.

i use money I’ve saved for retirement to pay for the treatment.  Many Americans don’t have a reserve of $20,000 to pay for their own healthcare treatments.  If they get sick, they do nothing and they die.  This is why healthcare for Americans is SO important and a functioning, affordable health system is vital to ALL Americans.

I relate the short story of Dingo because of John McCain, as each tumor was in the frontal lobe and Dingo also had his skull cracked so the tumor could be removed.  Anyway, John McCain knows what kind of predicament he would have been in with no access to adequate healthcare.  And healthcare today ain’t cheap… which is one of the healthcare issues that has to be brought under control… make healthcare affordable…

Healthcare wasn’t the only story this week.  With Donald Trump Occupying the White House, chaos, confusion and uncertainty reigned in America.

Donald Trump speaks before 30,000 to 40,000 young children at a Boy Scout gathering and channels his best Adolf Hitler.  Trump’s behavior and words were so disgusting the head of Boy Scouts of America realease an apology for Trump’s bullshit.

I want to extend my sincere apologies to those in our Scouting family who were offended by the political rhetoric that was inserted into the jamboree. That was never our intent.

No apology from Trump for his bullshit however…Trump obviously thinks the Boy Scouts organization is his own Trump Youth or TY for short… which Trump can use to spew his Goebbelsesque propoganda to these young kids….

…but Donald Trump wasn’t finished… later in the week Trump took a Trump Trip to speak before a police group, telling the group it was OK to knock suspects in the HEAD and throw them into the “paddy wagon” as roughly as they can… bringing the SS of Hitler to mind… all Trump has to supply now are the Brown shirts… and of course the head of the police organization had to issue an apology…

The Suffolk County Police Department said in a statement after Trump’s speech that it has strict rules and procedures about how prisoners should be handled. “Violations of those rules and procedures are treated extremely seriously. As a department, we do not and will not tolerate roughing up of prisoners.”

On top of his Hitleresque masquerade, Trump had unkind words for his AG Jeff Sessions… I’ll not bore you with detail as you probably are well aware of this story and all the splinter stories, but I’m amused whenever Trump tweets “Drain the Swamp!” and Trump adds his own Creatures to the Trump Swamp… and newest member of the Trump Swamp is Scaramucci…who unleashed a profanity laced epithet about Reince Priebus that all Christian Republicans are. I know, proud of… and they normalize as their own language…. because they normalize Scaramucci with their complicit acceptance…

“Reince is a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” Scaramucci said. He channelled Priebus as he spoke: “ ‘Oh, Bill Shine is coming in. Let me leak the fucking thing and see if I can cock-block these people the way I cock-blocked Scaramucci for six months.’ ”

Scaramucci also told me that, unlike other senior officials, he had no interest in media attention. “I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock,” he said, speaking of Trump’s chief strategist. “I’m not trying to build my own brand off the fucking strength of the President.

… which leaves me wondering… how can any American support Donald Trump and if you do, who are you…. a Scaramucci clone?
