I was in the grocery store a few days ago… I bought milk… a year ago I was paying $5.99 a gallon, and on this trip I paid … wait for it… $3.99 a gallon… ??? inflation???
I feed my dog a recipe of my own making… lots of fresh vegetables… I’ve been feeding her fresh vegetables and fresh chicken breast for 2 years… all the vegetables that I normally buy were either the same price or less than I was paying last year… the chicken breast I’ve been buying was $4.99 a pound last year and at the grocery store a few days ago, I paid $3.37 a pound, and on top of that reduction of in price, I got buy one get one free… INFLATION????
My favorite beer… has been normally $18.99 a 12 pack… on this particular visit to the grocery store, my favorite beer is WAIT for IT… $14.99 a 12 pack… INFLATION????
I drive by the gasoline station I normally shop at and gasoline that was $3.17 a gallon last week is $2.93 a gallon… much is made of the increase in gasoline but nothing is being said about the 24 cent a gallon decrease in the price of gasoline…
…to be fair, the price of Reeces Peanut Butter cups has inflated from $5.13 to $5.65…. so I didn’t buy any…
