The video has millions of views, but there is one catch: It has no relevance to our current gas shortage situation.
I’ve seen images and videos of people pumping gasoline into plastic bags and plastic walmart tubs… but these images and videos apparently have NO connection with the current gasoline shortage… which is the implication…
In this particular video, a woman is seen filling up what appears to be plastic grocery bags with fuel at a gas station and struggling to lift them into the trunk of her car. The video has millions of views, but there is one catch: It has no relevance to our current gas shortage situation. The widely circulated video originated in December 2019, after it was taken and posted on Facebook by Jason Rudison with the caption, “Sorry for my bad video but what in the hell is this lady doing.”
One comment I saw suggested, when the obvious was pointed out about the MEME, that “well, it’s a meme.” Even a MEME should have a grain of truth to it. A video posted about pumping gasoline into a plastic bag without a reference to time and place is a little misleading.
I guess the grain of truth is it’s a video or image about stupid people and the circumstances don’t matter.
