Trump brought kicking and screaming into reality...
Days after suggesting the so-called “deep state” was using the pandemic to hurt the American economy and push “mandated medicines,” Hannity called on all Americans to unite behind the president to overcome the crisis.
What Trump said:
One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over, they’ve been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning, they lost, it’s all turning. Think of it.
Think of it. And this is their new hoax.
But you know, we did something that’s been pretty amazing. We’re 15 people [cases of coronavirus infection] in this massive country. And because of the fact that we went early, we went early, we could have had a lot more than that.
Some Trumpist pundits are suggesting that Trump never said that Coronavirus is a HOAX.
“They tried the impeachment hoax,” Trump said.
"And this is their new hoax."
Trump goes on to pat himself on the back about how well “We’ve” handled coronavirus.
It’s clear to me what Trump was referring to when he made the statement, “And this is their new hoax.” And only a Trumpist would suggest otherwise.
Trump: Democrats’ Coronavirus Criticism a ‘New Hoax’
At a rally in South Carolina on Friday night, President Donald Trump said Democrats are trying to use the coronavirus to damage him—and called that “their new hoax.” He did not seem to be suggesting that the outbreak itself is a hoax but rather claimed that his critics are “politicizing” the situation to make him look bad. Trump has a long history of branding things he doesn’t like hoaxes; he’s used the word to blast the Russia investigation and impeachment.
