Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump’s plan to build a wall on the border with Mexico is facing a major problem: A wall of resistance from his own party.

A growing number of congressional Republicans are objecting to the cost and viability of a proposal that was a rallying cry for the billionaire businessman during his insurgent campaign. Interviews with more than a dozen GOP lawmakers across the ideological spectrum suggest Trump could have a difficult time getting funding for his plan approved by Congress.
Many bluntly told CNN they’d likely vote against any Trump plan that is not fully offset with spending cuts, while others questioned whether Trump’s vision would adequately resolve the problems at the border.
“If you’re going to spend that kind of money, you’re going to have to show me where you’re going to get that money,” said Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a key swing vote who has already broken with Trump over his nominee for secretary of education.

Donald Trump Has Begun a Frontal Assault on Financial Reform

Friday’s executive order is mainly just a message, but it’s a scary one.

Donald Trump signing an executive order has now become a cultural trademark, with its own Twitter feeds and play-by-play. What the orders don’t share is any consistency. Some, like the immigration ban, lead to immediate (and tragic) impacts. Others commit the government to generally look around for regulations to trim, or to try to come up with something around Obamacare.

It’s tempting to think of Facebook as pure entertainment — the dumb game you play when your boss looks away, or your date goes to the bathroom. But that’s underestimating how powerful the Facebook empire has become. For some, the app is more important than a driver’s license. People need it to contact colleagues, or even start and build businesses.

Welcome to Trumpistan, a country two weeks into the tumultuous rule of a miserable, cruel and seemingly captive president. He spends his days glowering in his too small, too old, not gold enough, non-penthouse, columned prison in Washington, furiously flipping through cable news channels to see what the pundits are saying about him…

Trump administration’s 1st military raid results in death of 8-year-old American girl

The first military raid carried out under President Donald Trump’s administration resulted in deadly consequences for an 8-year-old American girl and a U.S. Navy SEAL. Three al Qaeda operatives were also killed in the clandestine strike, military officials said, according to NBC News.

The strike was carried out in southern Yemen over the weekend and was put together by the Joint Special Operations Command and carried out by the elite SEAL Team 6, the same unit that famously killed Osama bin Laden.

The Huffington Post reports that:

Kellyanne Conway Literally Fabricated A Massacre To Justify Trump’s Immigration Ban

Um, the “Bowling Green Massacre” never happened.

Speaking to Chris Matthews on MSNBC on Thursday night, Conway said:

“I bet it’s brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

It also never happened.
