Instead of draining the swamp, Trump might be the best thing that’s happened to lobbyists since expense accounts.

Trump promised to “drain the swamp” of special interests. It’s actually growing—fast

The Trump Swamp

President Obama nominates Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court on March 16, 2016…

…more than a year ago and Republicans did absolutely NOTHING but Obstruct…. Republicans stole an election in 2000 and now STEAL a supreme court appointment…. MANY Americans have MORE to fear from Republicans than Russians in the same way that most Germans had more to fear from NAZIS than Americans….

An INDEPENDENT investigation is necessary to get to the Truth of the Trump Swamp….

WASHINGTON — President Trump promised to drain the special-interest swamp in Washington, but the city’s lobbyists expect boom times ahead as corporate America gears up for a Republican-controlled capital and learns to grapple with a chief executive willing to target individual companies for praise and scorn.

After years of partisan gridlock in Washington, Trump and congressional Republicans are moving to dismantle Obama-era regulations and some of the biggest legislation of the last eight years, including the Affordable Care Act and the so-called Dodd-Frank law that brought new federal oversight of the financial sector after the 2008 financial crisis.

FILIBUSTERGORSUCH

What good is the FILIBUSTER if you don’t use it against GORSUCH? Just the threat of the “nuclear option” gets GORSUCH through….

The argument for confirming GORSUCH is that Democrats save the FILIBUSTER for a more threatening nominee that Trump might nominate later… the “nuclear option’ would be available then also unless Democrats take back the Senate in 2018… and the Republicans would be vulnerable to 51 votes to confirm going forward if Republicans invoke the “nuclear option”…

Republicans look at Democrats and say, “you can pay me now or you can pay me later…”

Well, it appears that Republicans make Democrats pay now and pay later and pay and pay and pay…

FORCE the Republicans to PAY NOW for GORSUCH… and 51 votes to confirm will apply even handedly to both Democrats and Republicans going forward….

Donnelly also said he supported retaining a 60-vote threshold for Supreme Court nominees.

Appearing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) predicted that “it looks like Gorsuch will not reach the 60-vote margin” needed to overcome a filibuster.

During a separate interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) vowed that Gorsuch would indeed be confirmed, whether by 60 votes or less ― leaving open the possibility of triggering the so-called “nuclear option” on Supreme Court nominees.

“The way in which that occurs is in the hands of the Democratic minority,” he said.
