SHOULD REAL CHRISTIANS REALLY VOTE TRUMP?
The Gospel of John depicts a Jesus who loved truth that with grace would set the world free. But today’s Republican Party is so drunk with the power Donald Trump gave them “right out loud” to hate Blacks, browns, the Latinx, LGBTQs, willing to bear all manner of false witness against their neighbors, equating Democrats with pedophiles who drink the blood of babies.
He lied about crowd sizes, about “shithole countries,” about Mexicans, about new diseases and how many people were dying from COVID (I was almost one of them, by the way), about fraudulent claims of voter fraud, about stolen elections, about when he knew the January 6 crowd was armed, about being Mike Pence’s friend while his pals built gallows for him on the Ellipse, about what is in all those government documents he spirited away to Mar-a-Lago, and why he wanted them in his possession in the first place.

Tennessee GOP Rep Goes on Wild ‘DEI’ Rant Against Kamala Harris: ‘What About White Females?’
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) complained Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris was a “DEI hire” and lamented how “white females” weren’t considered for her role—the latest instance of racially coded right-wing attacks on President Joe Biden’s chosen successor.

When interviewed by CNN Capitol Hill correspondent Manu Raju, Burchett faulted Biden for pledging in early 2020 to pick a woman as his running mate. Biden, after racial unrest became a prominent election issue later in the campaign season, ended up choosing between four Black women.
“Biden said, first off, he said he’s going to hire a Black female for vice president and… he just skipped over—what about, what about white females? What about any other group?” Burchett griped. “When you go down that route, you take mediocrity, and that’s what they have right now as a vice president.”

When Raju followed up by asking if Burchett thought Harris, whose mother was Indian and her father from Jamaica, was a “DEI hire,” he emphatically agreed.
“100 percent. She was a DEI hire,” Burchett said. “Her record is abysmal at best.”
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., blasted Kamala Harris in a social media post Monday, calling her a “DEI vice president,” using the initialism for “diversity, equity and inclusion” programs.

“The media propped up this president, lied to the American people for three years, and then dumped him for our DEI vice president,” Burchett said on X.
He also referred to Harris as “a DEI hire” in a brief interview Monday, telling CNN that during the 2020 campaign candidate Joe Biden said “he was going to hire a Black female for vice president.”

If only the bill had contained the word ”deer,” then perhaps the possum jokes could have been stopped flat. If the bill had just made it clear that someone who hits a deer on the highway can take home the carcass and eat it, then maybe Tennessee would have been spared all the raccoon cookbooks, the dead-skunk songs, the bumper stickers, the sniggering headlines, the laughter that has lighted up the Legislature for the last few weeks.
But no. With an unerring genius for the kind of thing that makes many Tennesseans squirm, the author of the bill decided to phrase it this way: ”Wild animals accidentally killed by a motor vehicle may be possessed by any person for personal use and consumption.”

In other words, it would be legal to eat road kill.
Tim Burchett, the notoriety-loving State Senator who proposed the law, was inundated with comic cookbooks and tips on bringing out the best flavor from a coon stew.

“Donald Trump is a dangerous psychopath, a 34-time felon, and a malignant narcissist who is only in it for himself. He’s spent decades showing us over and over again that he’s not fit to run any business, let alone the country. He needs professional clinical treatment, although he’s almost certainly beyond help.”

Trump and God: Religion raises the stakes at Republican convention
Some of Donald J. Trump’s followers had long viewed him as handpicked by God. The attempted assassination has only increased such quasi-religious devotion and rhetoric.
For Donald J. Trump’s most devoted supporters, the bullet that nicked his ear and came within inches of ending his life was only further proof that a higher power is looking out for him.
“I don’t see this as luck,” said the Rev. Nathaniel Thomas, a Republican National Convention delegate and a pastor from the Washington, D.C., area. “I see this as God’s protection.”

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
MATTHEW 23:23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

It was a single, lone, caucasian, registered Republican, who shot off Trump’s Ear.

Democrats need a single sentence response to the shooting. “The shooter was not a Democrat, but a registered Republican.”

Now, lets talk about Project 2025. They need to be disciplined.
Democrats don’t need to be talking about Trump for the next 2 weeks, except as a perp of Project 2025.
