Trump: Drenched in tabloid sleaze
…a contemptible or vulgar person. a shabby or slovenly person. a sleazy quality, character, or atmosphere; shoddiness; vulgarity. sleazy behavior, content, appearance,
This sleaze machine is fueled not by the deviance of editors and producers but by rational economic incentives. This is yet another example of how capitalism is often at odds with moral propriety and professional ethics.
But what’s even more upsetting than a vulgar and coarse press is no free press at all. Too many societies, especially some in Asia, have little tolerance for a free press, vulgar or otherwise. That can prove tragic. Societies that imprison or anesthetize the press do so at their peril.
One word seems to define Trump’s political climate: “SLEAZE”. When voters in a political party get their news from a tabloid sleaze magazine, you know America is in decline as a nation of intellect.
