Evangelical Pastor Rains Holy Hell On Trump Bible: ‘Blasphemous’ And ‘Disgusting’

A value or ethic is a principle or standard about what is important in one’s life. Therefore, Christian values are the principles that a follower of Jesus Christ holds as important—the principles of life that Jesus taught. Christian values don’t change over time.

As a child, I went to a “christian” school from the 6th to 9th grades.  After discharge from the Army in 1972, I completed 4 years of collage with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy and Religion.  I am critical of self described Christians who support Trump and don’t follow the teaching of Jesus and more broadly the Bible.

So what did Jesus teach his followers?

I don’t think you can separate any criticism of Trump from the people who say they support him, follow him and will vote for him.  It must be evident to anyone who is paying attention, who is breathing, who is alive that Trump is NO Christian.  That Jesus and Trump are mutually exclusive.  These values are born from the strength of personal conviction and belief in a final arbiter of good, and Trump is not the final arbiter of “the good”.

The end goal of all Christian values is to promote Christlike behavior. Trump’s behavior is not Christlike. Each Christian is a modern disciple of Christ and his apostles. They live out the gospel in their everyday life and bring that good, righteous energy to every endeavor.  Supporting Trump is not promoting Christlike Values.  Are the values of Trump Christlike?

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

Christian values are important for the reason that they never change.

I call into question, whether any person who supports Trump, can claim to follow Christian values.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14.

So, do followers of Trump exemplify this Christian value?  Do they exemplify a “Christlike” behavior?  I say no and this fact about Trumpist Christians should be exposed.
