Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito issued a fiery — and bizarre — rebuttal in The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, defending himself against apparent ethics claims hours before they were published by ProPublica.

Justice Samuel Alito Took Luxury Fishing Vacation With GOP Billionaire Who Later Had Cases Before the Court

The Journal published the op-ed under the headline “ProPublica Misleads its Readers,” which accuses the outlet of leveling false charges against the justice. The rebuttal addresses whether Alito should have recused himself in cases linked to a billionaire named Paul Singer and whether he failed to report gifts on his annual financial disclosure forms.

I live in Tennessee, one of the most extreme states in America.
Trump got 60 percent of the vote in 2020. Only 3 counties voted for Joe Biden. Trump received 50 percent of the vote in the county I live in. Nine of the 11 congressional districts voted for trump.
Tennessee is an extreme state. Tennessee state government voted to expel two black state representatives because they dared to speak out.

I’m 73 and I’ve lived in my current house for 33 years. About 3 (4?) years ago, a lesbian couple bought the house a few doors down from my house. They are quiet and I don’t know much about them. They brought a dog with them, Elana, and a year or so after they moved in, they adopted a puppy and named her Roxie. Both are great dogs and I’ve gotten to know them well, as I walk my dog passed their house and Roxie and Elana love me because I always have treats for my dog in my pocket that I share with each of them as we pass their fenced in yard. But I don’t know the two people who live there because they simply aren’t very friendly.
They frequently have rainbow flags flying from their house. This being pride month, they have lined their fence with small rainbow flags and have a larger flag flying from their house.
I considered buying the flag I posted with this comment to show my solidarity with gay America, but to date I have not done so.

“I saw exactly what happened, you saw it, you saw someone who decided that ‘I don’t have anything of value to offer, so what I’m going to do is be disrespectful and overtalk you and somehow that will be perceived as I know something.'”

“I laid out my credentials, not so much to clap back on her, but it had more so to do with her not understanding what it was that she was trying to spar with our witness about,” she elaborated. “So I was laying down that I understood and she didn’t, and maybe she needs to do a little research before she came to committee trying to clap back on people.”
